Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said Sunday that Van Jones should 'just shut the f*** up' after the CNN commentator depicted the entrepreneur as 'dangerous' and a rising 'demagogue.'
Jones' comments came the night of the fourth Republican debate in Tuscaloosa, Alabama earlier this month, after CNN's Dana Bash interviewed Ramaswamy and asked him about some of the conspiracy theories he floated onstage.
Ramaswamy pushed that January 6 was an 'inside job' and the Great Replacement Theory 'is not some grand right-wing conspiracy theory, but a basic statement of the Democratic Party's platform.'
The Great Replacement Theory suggests non-white people will replace a white majority - and in the United States tends to be used as a fear-mongering tactic so voters will support stricter immigration policies from Latin American countries.
'That guy is dangerous. That's dangeous. When those people were saying "Jews will not replace us, Jews will not replace us," that slogan sits on top of a very sick and twisted view that if you bring enough people of color here, we are so deficient, we are so stupid, we are so unwanted, that we will be zombies to fill out the ranks for some Democratic Party agenda,' Jones noted.

Jones said that kind of rhetoric leads to violence and puts in danger Jewish people and people of color.
'And the smug condescending way that he just spews his poison out is very, very dangerous because he won't stop Trump but he's going to outlive Trump by about 50 years,' Jones said of Ramaswamy.
'And you're watching the rise of an American demagogue, that is a very, very despicable person,' he said.
'And literally I was shaking listening to him talk, because a lot of people don't know that is one step away from Nazi propaganda coming out of his mouth,' Jones said.
Onstage on Sunday, Ramaswamy ridiculed Jones' concerns.
'You got this character Van Jones on CNN afterward saying, "This is the rise of an American demagogue who's gonna live 50 years longer than Trump, this is dangerous, I am shaking,' Ramasawmy said.
'Just shut the f*** up,' the 2024 hopeful said.

The audience cheered.
'At a certain point, just shut the f*** up,' Ramaswamy said, repeating the expletive.
During the CNN panel discussion, another commentator tried to make Jones feel better and pointed out that Ramaswamy's numbers have fallen since the GOP debates started.
Ramaswamy, who held no political office before launching his presidential bid, peaked at about 8 percent support nationally in mid-September, several weeks after the Republican debate in Milwaukee.
He now stands at 4.4 percent support, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average.
